Description of the artwork «STILL LIFE "FERGANA PEACHES"»
Original picture.
Alexander Karavaev reveals to the viewer still life in a new way - no artfully folded drapery under the objects, no table on which they are placed, just fruit and the background.
The artist constantly uses this technique in his still lifes.
On the one hand, in this way the painter escapes from the stereotypical perception of the world; on the other hand, nothing distracts the viewer's attention from the depicted objects. And the background only enhances this perception.
The main "characters" of this work are Fergana peaches.
Even though the fruit is depicted perfectly realistic, we can't help but feel that it evokes emotions that remind us of states of mind in surprising ways.
Therein lies the mystery of the deep psychology of Alexander Karavaev's still lifes.
The painting is made in the technique of oil glaze, similar to the glaze - iridescent and translucent. The peculiarity of this technique is the multi-layered application of paints, each top layer changing the color of the bottom one. The result is soft, saturated, radiant tones, which results in a beautiful, vibrant color scheme with an unusual three-dimensional volume effect.
"Fergana Peaches" is an original painting in a single copy.
