A person in my work occupies one of the main places, especially for the beautiful half of humanity. In the painting "Daughter of the Morning Light" I portrayed the television journalist Anastasia Kolskaya. At that time, she worked on one of the television channels in Ryazan. In those years, television often turned its attention to my work and in news reports one could still find stories about culture, fine arts and artists. That time was also my period of many awards and significant exhibitions: in a year I became three times a laureate of Russian and foreign competitions. All these events (and many others in my creative life) were covered in television news stories. Anastasia was the record holder for the stories filmed about me - she visited me to record the broadcast many times, she always led wonderful and varied television reports with her soul.
To be fair, I will say that I tried to thank all the journalists who reported about me or wrote an article in a newspaper or magazine. I gave each of them my own drawing or painting. This time I decided that it was worth painting a portrait, and the girl's image was very bright, memorable, colorful! I very tactfully combined my style of ornamentalism with an academic solution; I painted the pattern in the picture with a very thin brush, and it covers the plot in places with a translucent lace veil. The solution of the portrait is very close to realistic, from which the image came out very similar to the model. In the ornaments of the picture, I laid the wish of all the best, and what is most important in a woman's life: marriage, family, the birth of children. I have not forgotten to lay in the symbols and promotion on the career ladder. About a year later, Anastasia began working as a television journalist on the federal channel NTV, now under her real name - Shchapova. Then she got married and gave birth to a child.
I don't know if the patterns I put into the portrait helped her in this, or if it's just a coincidence. Be that as it may, I was pleased with the prevailing vivid portrait image in the picture, and Anastasia more than once wrote me words of gratitude and sent photographs of her portrait in the interior of her apartment ...
