The moiré of the turquoise bay

Мmoire pattern is predominant on fabrics, but it is also found on waves in the sea, ocean and other bodies of water. In the painting I tried to betray the magic of natural sea moiré on the water surface and the unusual, turquoise color of water. The main character of the picture is an old steam barque, it stands at the berth and waits for its departure. Labor for him - akin to a romantic journey. In the distance you can see the edge of the opposite shore of the bay and the lighthouse as a symbol of dreams. The long term of the painting is due to the fact that I began to write it while studying at the Ryazan Art School in one of the first courses. The teacher who gave me this assignment was my teacher in drawing and composition, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia - Tatiana Petrovna Vlasova.
