Evgeny Gerasimovich Yaranov - one of the most famous artists of Mari El, Honored Artist of Russia, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, for many years heading the Mari branch of this creative union. Under his belt is participation in numerous exhibitions of different levels: from the republican to the international. His paintings are kept in Russian museums and private collections all over the world.

Despite his fame, Evgeny Yaranov does not like publicity, avoids excessive pathos and never rushes with loud phrases about the role and place of the artist in society. All his works, whether they are landscapes, portraits, narrative and thematic paintings, are very bright, warm, even if sometimes a little sad, but always positive, filled with deep philosophical meaning.
