I don't like to call the paintings my own. Yes, they came into this world through my hands, brushes and paints. But what was the reason for their creation? My talent, ability or something else? When I began to paint at an advanced age, I experienced an unusual sensation - as if a spark of God had flared up in me. Do you know what that means?
When NOTHING comes through you, you are physically powerless to refuse to manifest what wants to materialize with your hands, brain, and artistic skills. This state, when you become a conduit of higher forces, is called Creativity or Co-creation. But can I call myself the author of these works? After all, I did not create them alone... At that moment I was one to one with the Creator, God, the Higher Power. He was in me, and I was Him. It became for me a revelation or, to put it in modern language, an insight - the coolest insight! I felt I was the Creator! Not only of the paintings, but of my life!
I will say more: the process of drawing led me to realize the true nature of human beings. I am now convinced that we are all creatures and creators at the same time. This idea is deeply rooted in philosophy and religion, with many teachings stating that human beings are created in the image of God. We have the ability to create, change and influence the world around us. And that's not pathos at all. Do you know what painting has given me? First of all, an attitude towards life as an act of creation, my own creation. I am free to paint a picture of my life with any brushes and colors, to use any techniques and tools, to fill it with meaning at will!
In addition, if you think about the nature of creativity, it becomes obvious that it requires courage and vulnerability. Every artist runs the risk of being misunderstood or judged. But it is in this risk that our divine essence is revealed - the desire for self-expression and the search for truth. And who can prevent me if my hand is guided by the Creator himself? I am a part of him, his creation. And am I the only one? Does not the highest divine test stand on each of us - on a great artist, a doctor, a teacher, a car mechanic, even a homeless person? What prevents us from seeing it? Or who?
For centuries people prayed to different deities, searched for God both on Earth and in the sky, but such a simple and obvious truth was somehow closed from us - we are Gods! We are the creators! Admiring the sun and the moon, watching dawns and sunsets, meeting our eyes with our near and distant ones, looking into the eyes of a child, we must understand this simple truth. This understanding can be the basis for deeper relationships between people and serve as a powerful source of inspiration.
And here we come to the most important part - love. Love is the energy that connects us to all things. It permeates every creation and every moment of our lives. When we create, we express love; when we love, we create. This interconnectedness is inseparable. Creativity is an act of love for the world, for ourselves, and for others. It allows us to share that love with others.
I will be happy if, looking at the paintings, you feel the divine fire within you - the impulse that allows you to create your own meanings, your own universes, to paint the picture of your life with inspiration and freedom. I will be happy if you realize that you look at the world through the eyes of God, feel it inside and outside of you and realize that we are all particles of the same divine energy. Then neither religions, nor wars, nor borders and distances will be able to separate us.
In this unity is love - love for all things that unites us into one. Let us allow this love to guide us through creation and life!
