Description of the artwork «Matrona of Moscow»
The icon by Svetlana Fatyanova's studio received the Dionysius Russian Iconography Prize with the support of the World Art Fund. It was also presented at the Lermontov Museum in Pyatigorsk and at the "Exciting World" vernissage at the "Crystal Spring" festival of popular film genres in Essentuki.
The icon of Matrona of Moscow is painted with mineral pigments on an egg. Gold leaf, celadonite, hematite, ivory, and multicolored clays were used. There are two copies of this image. One of them has already been bought by a customer from Miami, and the other is in the iconographer's personal iconostasis. It is also possible to paint an exact copy or another version of Matrona.
