Was born in 1935 in Navoloki.
Mother Maria died when he was 6 years old, and Father Ivan did not return from the war, and he ended up in a boarding school. Then he was brought up in the family of an aunt with other children.
A self-taught artist, he was invited to study at MAHU, but due to the hardships of the post-war period he did not join the course. He worked as a painter at a textile mill, but all his life he followed his vocation and many houses in the Ivanovo region are decorated with his works.
Despite their simple plots, the paintings stand out for their classic skill in working with color, texture and compositional solutions.
