Description of the artwork «Morning toilet»
The Rococo art is often scolded for his intimate and voyeuristic in nature. Called "boudoir painting" – who are dismissive (if not existed Giorgione and Titianwith them naked), and who with undisguised admiration. The painting "the toilet" this Cup has passed: now it is kept in the London Wallace Collection.
The small size and intimate character work we see sitting on the bed naked. She takes off her white shirt, turning to the viewer's left side, thigh and armpit and it's like slow, stop in this difficult but faultlessly rendered view. The maid behind ready to change clothes, but the heroine is not in a hurry. It gives the viewer time to enjoy her nakedness. A technique which uses Watteau, building the composition of the painting, with the advent of cinema has been called "approximate frame".
Woman with pattern a little similar to the ancient ideal of beauty. Her body is less muscular, but more soft and rounded, although not as much as beauty beloved Watteau Peter Paul Rubens. But the heroine's face is very characteristic of Watteau and the French in General for "gallant century" type: it is round, with chubby cheeks and a blush, with usernam nose and tiny mouth. And she's blonde. From her body and hair emanates a warm Golden glow. Critics believe that it makes the film exciting erotic sound.
