Biography and information

Mukiy Vladimir Davidovich - Crimean painter. Born February 22, 1953 in the village of Koksovy, Rostov region, USSR. In 1955 the family moved to the Crimea, Simferopol. Simferopol. From 1969 to 1970 - Art School (teacher Kurilenko G.M.). From 1970 to 1976 - graduated from the Crimean Art School named after N.S. Samokish art and pedagogical department (1971-1973 - service in the army), teachers: Sobol VP, Shipov AN, Lebenok LV, Sizikov EV C 1976 - Work in the production art and design combine. For his design work he received a medal of the All-Russian Exhibition of Fine Arts (Kiev) and a diploma of the second degree (1992). As a painter - realist exhibited on the line of the USSR on several regional (Simferopol), republican (young artists Kiev), international youth exhibition in Bulgaria (1988). From 1987 to 1992 is part of an informal association "Experiment" (modernism), which then grew into the "Crimean Association of Contemporary Art" and was created as an alternative to the directions of painting existing in the Union of Artists of the USSR. Works in the direction of surrealism, symbolism, neorealism, hyperrealism. Exhibitions in Simferopol, Lviv, Moscow, Dnepropetrovsk. Cooperation with the ARS gallery (Moscow). From 1992 to 2011 V.D. Mukiy lives and works in the Crimea, the village Kurortnoe (Karadagsky scientific station). During this time he has participated in several dozens of conceptual exhibitions in Crimea, Ukraine and Russia.
Since 2011 lives and works in Simferopol.
Works by Mukiy Vladimir Davidovich are in the National Art Gallery named after I.K. Aivazovsky, the Museum of A.S. Grin, private collections in England, Germany, Yugoslavia, Israel, USA, Poland and many other countries.
