He studied in Padua. With 1460 – at the Ferrara court. Court painter of the counts of d'este, one of the founders of the school of Ferrara in the Italian art. In Padua he met with the works of artists of the circle Squarcione, Crivelli, Pacher, was strongly influenced by Mantegna's and Piero della Francesca. The famous allegorical frescoes, is one of the most fascinating fresco cycles of the fifteenth century, Ferrara, Palazzo Schifanoia, which he painted together with his student Francesco del Cossa and Ercole Roberti. Most of the works of Cosimo Tura lost. Preserved folds of the organ of the Cathedral in Ferrara (1469) and the polyptych of Roverella (1470-1474), currently disassembled and stored in various museums.

Italian painter. Master of the school of Ferrara, he worked in Ferrara at the court of Duke Borso d'este and Ercole d'este. Perhaps in 1452-1454 worked and studied in Padua, and was associated with the workshop Squarcione.
