I, Mikhail Ukhan was born in 1963, in Odessa region. In 1999, I came to God and started to be interested in
christian art, icon painting, temple wall art
painting.
Started learning on my own through books and in the workshop
artist friends, where he got his first experience of icon painting.
His first icon of St. Matrona was donated to the Pokrovskiy
nunnery in Moscow in 2003.
In 2004, for spiritual development, I enrolled in the
Abalaksky male monastery as a novice and in the same
was admitted to the Tobolsk Theological Seminary for a
the iconography department,
and headed the monastery's icon-painting workshop.
To develop his restoration skills in 2009
enrolled at the Orthodox St. Tikhon's
at a liberal arts university in the Department of Restoration.
During all this time I participated in the painting of the Temples,
painted many icons, carried out restorations
of varying complexity.
By invitation, he visited the Holy Land, where he performed
restoration work, but most importantly, he received
spiritual strengthening and awareness of the value of the sacred
