Brief biographical note :

Dmitry Peychev is an artist-restorer of the Department of Restoration of Old Russian Paintings of the State Russian Museum.

Born in Leningrad on August 19, 1981.

In 2002, he graduated from the restoration department of the N.K. Roerich St. Petersburg Art School, specializing as an artist-restorer

In 2002 he joined the sector of restoration of Old Russian paintings of the Restoration Department of the Russian Museum as an artist-restorer.

In 2015, he performed the restoration of the 16th century icon "Resurrection of Christ (Descent into Hell)" (DRJ-472).

In 2015, by the Order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation on the basis of the decision of the new State Attestation Commission, D.G. Peychev was awarded the category of artist-restorer of Old Russian painting.

In 2017, he underwent an internship within the exchange program "Russian Museum - Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA) (Metropolitan Museum of Art)", where he got acquainted with modern methods of researching works of painting and the use of synthetic materials in the North American school of restoration.

Since 2008 he has been involved in the project of restoration of a number of unique icons of the Tikhvin school of the XVI-XVII centuries from the collection of the Russian Museum.

In 2019, he completed the restoration of the 17th century icon "John the Warrior" (DRJB-185).
