Laurent
Parcellier

born in 1962
French impressionist painter Laurent Parcelier (Laurent Parcelier) was born in the fall of 1962 in Chamallières. Since childhood Laurent was fascinated by drawing. In art school he especially liked to work on landscapes from nature, which made him very different from other students. And moving to Paris, he continued to engage in painting and applied art, in parallel began to work part-time in the magazine "Triolo", for which he drew fantastic comics. This occupation brought Laurent a lot of pleasure and money. He even created several of his own albums, and began to cooperate with many other publications.
And once, quite by chance, having found himself at a street painting contest, the artist was infected by the creative atmosphere and took his brushes in his hands, and... what would you think - he won the first prize. Laurent Parcellier was already an established cartoonist at the time, but winning the competition spurred him on to a new creative experiment, and he decided to participate in an exhibition at the Salon des Beaux Arts de Perigueux. And he didn't miss a beat... At the exhibition, the artist's works created a sensation - both the public and critics were delighted.
Thus, thanks to chance, the artist's life and work took a sharp turn. And who knows how Laurent's fate would have turned out if he had not been a random participant in that competition. Since then Parcellier regularly started to take part in such events, the press started to talk about him, invitations from other countries started to pour in.....
One day the artist suddenly just disappeared, and for several years no one heard of him.
And when he reappeared in 1996, he created a huge sensation. His works were met with great delight by the audience at very prestigious exhibitions in Paris. As it turned out, the years that the artist was "silent" were spent on creating his unique handwriting and style related to modern impressionism.
