Biography and information

Uldis Rēdelis Uldis Rēdelis (1938, Riga) painter, member of the Latvian Union of Artists.
By profession a welder, aviation mechanic. He has been painting since 1979. The artist mastered the initial skills of drawing and painting, under the guidance of Astik in the House of Culture of TTP. Since 1979 U. Redelis works in the House of Culture of TTP in the folklore studio under the guidance of artist Maras Zitare. 1986 he enters the Moscow University of Folk Art by correspondence in fine arts at the department of graphics and portrait painting. After completing 3 years of study it is recommended to undergo additional training at a two-year advanced training course, which he finishes in 1991. Uldis Redelis worked as an actor in the city of Vidzeme in the art studio "Umbra1". Since 1979 U. Redelis has participated in all independent exhibitions. The most important exhibitions took place in 1984, TTP Culture in the house, 1986, In the premises of the Water Supply and Sewerage Department, 1987, LVU Faculty of Philology and in 1988, In the Orthodox Cathedral, 1986 U. Redelis with his works participates in the Baltic republics, at the amateur exhibition in Vilnius, 1987 the artist participates in the II All-Union exhibition "Labor of Nations". 1987 in the summer at the republican amateur exhibition in Jurmala U. Redelis was awarded a medal laureate. 1990 for the second time held a solo exhibition in the House of Zinibu - Pareiztichigo in the cathedral on Brivibas Street 1991 Personal exhibition of Riko in the Institute of Physical Energy 1996 held a large solo exhibition in Jaundubulti, Jurmala held a solo exhibition in the Berzinski Museum and in the fall of the same year in the building of the Board of Vidzeme suburb. 1997 exhibition at the Grindeks medical products company. 1998 at a joint exhibition in honor of the Song Festival at the WEF Palace of Culture. 1998 exhibition in Pinkyu secondary school and Jelgava House of Culture. 200 l.p. in honor of the 800th anniversary of Riga at the WEF Palace of Culture and Riga Art Days in the center. The artist has received several awards for active participation in exhibitions. 2000 was admitted to the Union of Artists of Latvia. Paintings are in private collections in the USA, England, Russia, Latvia and Lithuania.
