Biography and information

Painter, theatre. artist. In 1922-30 he studied at the Mosk. VKhUTEMAS - P. Konchalovsky, I. Rabinovich, V. sakhnovskaya. Lived and worked in Moscow. Participated in the design of revolutionary festivals and demonstrations. From 1929 to participate in exhibitions. From 1929 a member of the AHR. Participated in the design of revolutionary festivals and demonstrations.

Until 1917 he studied at the Voronezh school, then continued her studies in the unified labor school.

In 1919-1920 he studied at the Voronezh Free art studios S. R. and N. Maximov. Participated in the design of revolutionary festivals.

From 1922 to 1930 he studied at the VKhUTEMAS (all-Union artistic-technical studios in 1927, renamed in all-Union art and technical Institute) P. Konchalovsky, I. Rabinovich, V. sakhnovskaya.

In his student years and subsequent five years Shchukin worked on the design of demonstrations, mass theatrical procession dedicated to the celebration of revolutionary dates and events. Easel painting and graphic works made by the artist with protoceratium characteristic of children and folk artists. The style of the works created almost simultaneously, at times dissimilar. But the perception of the world and implementation is seen doing the artist a dreamer, a visionary. Imagery-metaphors, folk, farce, grotesque and lyricism! – the basis of creativity Shchukin.

Ill with tuberculosis, Shchukin died in 1935.
