Jacek Jierka (Kowalski, Jacek Yerka, born in 1952 in the city of Torun, Northern Poland) - the famous modern Polish surrealist artist, who also belongs to the genres of fiction and fantasy.

Features of creativity: The basis for many of the artist's paintings are the pastoral landscapes, the medieval architecture of Northern Poland and the home interior of the 1950s and 1960s - the familiar surroundings inspire the master to rethink reality. In his work, the author combines the accuracy of the drawings of the Flemish masters (Hieronymus Bosch, Jan van Eyck, Peter Bruegel) and the surrealist fantasy of surrealists (Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte). As a result, the author's style has developed, conquering the audience: the beauty and the abundance of details, the techniques of the 50s of the twentieth century, animals, nature, architecture, home interiors ... And it all adds up to a three-dimensional picture with an obligatory author's riddle.

Jacek Jörka, a hereditary artist, was educated at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Torun University Nicolaus Copernicus. She prefers acrylic and pastel. He lives with his family and works in Poland. It remains true to the principles of its style: careful and realistic drawing of parts in compliance with the aesthetics of objects of the middle of the last century. In 1994 he published the first book of his works, and in 1995 he was awarded the prestigious World Fantasy Prize as the best artist.
