Student of the Moscow Stroganov School of technical drawing and the School of painting, sculpture and architecture. In 1851, for the program "view of the Academy of Sciences and the Palace embankment in St. Petersburg" received from the Imperial Academy of Arts the title of the artist. In 1857, assigned to the Academy; in 1859, is an academician of landscape painting for the "View near Moscow." (Kondakov)
