He studied at the school from 1903 by A. E. Arkhipov, N.. Kasatkin, K. A. Korovin. In 1916 he received the title of artist. Performed work: "Summer", "Self", "Late water", "Pioneer", "the Underground press" and others Participated in exhibitions from 1906 (the Moscow school of painting, MTX AChRs). Works were exhibited at international exhibitions (Cologne). Taught in VHUTEINe and art schools of Moscow. The author of several books ("Graphic garmata", "Child-artist", "How to learn to draw")
