He studied technology with the artist Dmitry Vorontsov at the School of Memory in 1905 in Moscow. Member of the Moscow Association of Artists, from which he repeatedly exhibited his works. For a long time he specialized in portraits. His style is realism with a strong influence of Russian artists of the late 19th century, describing home scenes in soft blur. Like Pavel Fedotov, Averin’s favorite artist, he worked in the open air, using his surroundings to inspire his brush and complete his work.
