Semenovich Golovkov

Was born 4 (10) Mar 1863 in Odessa. Died 3 (16) November 1909 in Berlin.

He studied at the Odessa drawing school in 1881 and From 1883 – 1887 he studied at the Imperial Academy of arts M. V. Klodt. Awarded a small silver medal of the Academy of arts in 1886, in 1887 - a large silver medal for the painting "View of the rocks and the sea."

Lived and worked in Odessa. Began exhibiting in 1888

In 1909, the artist's works were exhibited in Paris and Munich.

Member of the society of South Russian artists since 1893

A member of the Moscow society of art lovers.

Participated in exhibitions of the Wanderers from 1898-1907.

In 1907 he was elected member of the international Union of artists and writers.

Works G. S. Golovkova are stored in the Museum of Ukrainian fine arts, Kyiv ("cold day on the rocks", 1886), Odessa art Museum, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
