Member of the Union of artists of the USSR (Russia) since the 1960s. Honored artist of the RSFSR (1980), people's artist of the RSFSR (1986) Schedule. Painter.

Studied in Leninsk-Kuznetsky mining College, he simultaneously attended art Studio (1935-1936). He served in the Soviet army (1939-1946.). He studied at the art Studio in Vladivostok (1945-1948). Lived and worked in Primorye (1949), Kamchatka (1949-1953), Ukraine (1954). Back in Kuzbass in 1954, lived in the city of Novokuznetsk, in 1960 – in Kemerovo.

In 1956 he made his first trip to the Mountain Altai since traveled there annually until 1995, In 1964, donated 150 works to the Museum in the village of Ust-Kan the Gorno-Altai Autonomous region. He was elected Chairman of the Kemerovo branch of the Union of artists of the RSFSR (1960-1965; 1975-1977). Since 1995 lived in America. Creative journeys : Gornaya Shoriya (1955), Mountain Altay (1956-1995), the Republic of Tuva (1974), Central Asia (1975), Kuzbass (1977, 1981, 1983, 1984).
