From a family of small traders. Attended drawing class in the Studio of the sculptor Henri Arnaud, art Studio of V. I. Shukhaev's and A. E. Yakovlev. Wrote still lifes, deserted interiors, urban and rural landscapes. In 1927/28 he exhibited in the salon d'automne and the salon des Tuileries. In 1928/29 he worked under contract with the gallery L. Zborovsky. Kept apart, in a circle of artists monparnasse not included.

In 1971 his work was exhibited at the exhibition "Small forms" at Galerie O. Bosc, along with works by Boudin, Auguste Renoir and M. Utrillo.In 1990, a retrospective exhibition was held at gallery K. Granoff. Represented in many collections in France, in the museums of Jerusalem and tel Aviv.
