Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

(1908.15. January in Riga – 1997 in Tukums, Latvia)

Born in sluganski family. 1923 – 27 was studied in Tukums secondary school, where a schoolmate of A. Lapins satisfied with the first exhibition in 1926. Continuing his art education, 1927, he attended the art Studio of Ludolf Liberta and Karlis Miesnieks.

1933 finishes workshop Landscape painting of V. Purvitis ("Tukums landscape") at the Latvian Academy of arts.

In 1937 he was in Paris, where he studied museums.

1933 – ' 40, member of the group of artists Mucosally in Riga.

In addition to painting, he worked as a ceramic(1945 – 68 in the workshops of the Art Fund)
