Alekseevich Asafov

Born on 19 April in the village Kirkovo Ust-Kubensky district of the Vologda region. Studied at Yaroslavl art College (1959 - 1964), Moscow state art Institute. V. I. Surikov (1967 - 1973) at the faculty of monumental painting. A member of the Union of Russian artists since 1977.

Participates in art exhibitions since 1968. The artist's works are exhibited at the all-Russian, interregional, regional, international exhibitions. Personal exhibitions of paintings were held in Vologda (1983, 1993, 1997, 2000), Cherepovets (1984, 1993).

Lives and works in Vologda since 1976. The works are in Vologda regional art gallery, Museum-reserves and museums of local lore of the Vologda region, private collections in Russia and abroad.

The artist works in oil painting in the genres of landscape, still life, domestic painting, portraits, thematic compositions; was engaged in monumental painting mosaic and mural. Major works :"0тцовское" (1977), "Mother" (1977), "Without men" (1979), "Young" (1979), "On Cubana" (1979), "Morning" (1979), "Heat" (from 1975 to 1982), "For life" (1985), "Destiny" (1987), "the Time" (1987).
