Algeria • born in 1938

Born in 1938 in the city of Tashkent. In 1969 he finished the painting Department of the Republican art College named after P. Benkov, and then in 1980 – Tashkent theatre and art Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky. Almost forty years atdanna teaching activities within the walls of a special music and arts boarding school. Dozens of students of M. Akhmedov, high school graduates, fruitful work in the field of fine arts. All these years the artist worked hard creatively — countless drawings and sketches from nature, dozens of still lifes, landscape paintings, portraits.Bright, original talent Akhmedova found its fullest expression in the genres of landscape and still life. Honesty, eternal optimism – despite the sometimes tragic circumstances of his personal life, love of nature and deep comprehension of national life is the hallmarks of his work. His work is a hymn to the native land, its beauty and generosity, a hymn to man, to create this beauty. Love to busy, pure colors in color, which he remains true throughout the creative, gives his paintings a festive and poetry, in spite of increasing with age the drama. One of the most powerful means of artistic expression for Mahmud Akhmedov becomes a color.

His perception primarily emotionally, boldly, pushing more colors, enhances inner joy and dramatic feeling of the piece. So at the end of 70-ies has been a qualitative shift in the artist's work. Are increasingly replacing the brush with a palette knife, he develops a special small, agile smear, associated with the national stitch embroidery. In 1982,1986,1989,2008 G. G. in collaboration with the Ministry of culture of Uzbek SSR and RCMSI was organized a Personal exhibition in Tashkent. In 1995 In London and Walse (UK). Many of the paintings acquired by the State art Museum of Uzbekistan, Directorate of art exhibitions AH of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in foreign museums and private galleries in America, Japan, England, Syria, Israel, Turkey, Italy, France, Usssa, Mongolia, Algeria.

In 1998. The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mahmudov was awarded with the medal "Shukhrat".
