Osipovich Akhremchik

People's artist of the BSSR (1949). A member of the CPSU from 1965. He studied at the Moscow Vhuteine (1922-30) from A. V. Shevchenko. In 1944-48 the Chairman of the Board of the Union of artists of the BSSR. He taught at the Vitebsk art school (1931-40), Minsk art school (1948-53), the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (1953-63), from 1963 Professor of the Belarusian theatre and art Institute. Among the students: P. V. Maslenykov, M. A. Savitsky and others. A. is the author of numerous portraits, landscapes, thematic paintings, monumental murals. Awarded 2 orders and medals.

Creativity Akhremchik, based on realistic traditions inherent to citizenship, a deep penetration into the inner light of the contemporary, the quality and solidity of the plastic of the form and integrity of the colors. The name has Akhremchik Republican College of arts in Minsk, which for decades considered to be recognized "forge" Belarusian art.
