Biography and information

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Was born in Kiev. In 1951 – 1957 he studied in GWI. Immediately upon graduation, began experimenting in the field of fine art was "abstract" period, eventually returned to figurative art. Was one of the pioneers of the nascent at the time in Kiev "unofficial" culture, which for a long time could not work and participate in exhibitions. In 1967 he graduated from the Creative workshops of Academy of arts of the USSR, in the same year became a member of the artists Union of the USSR (at the invitation of T. Yablonska). Attended workshops R. Falk and I. Kabakov, was a friend of Sergei Parajanov and V. Nekrasov. In 1981 he emigrated to Germany, he exhibited works at exhibitions in Dortmund (where he lived and worked), Munich, Paris, and also in the USA and Italy. Some time was part of the artistic Association "the Dortmund group." The author of numerous works and texts in the style of "concrete" and "visual" poetry published in magazines and anthologies in Russia, Germany, France, etc.
