Stepanovich Bajuskin

Russia • 1898−1952

Born in the village of Sinkovo, Moscow province. He lived in Moscow.

1911-1916 he Studied at the Art school at the printing house of I. D. Sytin Partnership of S. Gerasimov.

1918-1920 he Studied at the VKhUTEMAS in S. Malyutina.

From 1920 he Worked in various publishing houses, including in the Art Department at the 1 St Exemplary printing house, publishing house, also in the magazines "Spark", "Farmer", "Counselor" and others. Illustrated the works of P. Bazhov, performed posters, paintings, and watercolors for the children. Consisted in the Union of book artists.

1941-1945 Illustrated leaflets.

1942-1943 made a series of drawings of war-torn Museum-estate of L. N. Tolstoy "Yasnaya Polyana" near Tula. Issued in the Tula theatre production of "the defense of Tula."

1952 Died in Moscow.
