Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Russian Soviet artist, painter. In 1931 he graduated from the Leningrad art-industrial College (the teacher of M. P. Bobyshov).

Between 1949 and 1956, the main artist of the Bolshoi drama theatre, where he designed productions of "Love Yarovaya" of K. A. trenev (1951), "the Precipice" by I. A. Goncharov (1951; 2nd edition 1956), "prologue" A. P. Stein (1953). In the Leningrad theater. Komissarzhevskaya issued the statement "Born in Leningrad" O. F. Bergholz (1961), "the Resurrection"

by L. N. Tolstoy (1960), "After the wedding" by V. S. Rozov (1962), "the Millionaire" Bernard Shaw (1964). In 1965 – 1979 issued a number of performances in the Pskov theatre.

The main artist of the Leningrad Circus on Stage (1966 – 1992). In his writings sought

to search for clear, expressive form, combining picturesque scenery and precisely matched subject design.

The artist's works are kept in museums of St. Petersburg, Moscow and other Russian cities

as well as in private foreign collections.
