Biography and information

Was born in Moscow. He graduated from the 2nd Moscow classical gymnasium. Studied at the University and simultaneously attended classes at the Moscow school of painting (V. Perov, A. Savrasov). From 1880 he served in the Ministry of agriculture; duty many traveled to Russia, was engaged in painting. In 1922, he was evacuated to Constantinople, came to the island of Lemnos, thence to France. In Paris he settled in the gallery L. Gerard, where he exhibited and sold landscapes. Favorite motifs of art was the Russian winter landscape and abandoned aristocratic parks and estates. Under the mediation of the gallery carried out orders for South America and England. Since 1931 he exhibited in the salon of independents. Are in the HM France and England.
