Mikhail Mikhailovich of God [p. 7 (20) .9.1911, Nikolaev], people's artist of the USSR (1963), full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1962). He graduated from art college in Nikolaev (1933). Mostly portrait painter. B. seeks to uncover the ethical beauty and inner significance of the Soviet person. The works: a portrait of the Hero of the Soviet Union R. Kushlyansky (1945), “Excellent Svetlana Shipunova” (1950), “My thoughts, thoughts ...” (1959–60), “V. I. Lenin ”(1959–61),“ The Twentieth Century ”(1964–67) - all in the Museum of Ukrainian Fine Arts of the Ukrainian SSR in Kiev; “New time” (1969). Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 6th and 7th convocations. Awarded the Order "Badge of Honor" and medals.
