Vasilyevich Bolshakov

Russia • born in 1929

Born in the village of stare Selo Ivanovo-Voznesensk industrial region. Member of the Union of artists of Russian Federation since 1957. In the years 1947-1952 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - I. P. Vakurov. Since 1952 worked at the Association of Palekh artists (1954 - Palekh art-production workshops). In 1983-1989 was Director of the Palekh art school.

Was engaged in monumental painting (the design of the concert hall in the hotel "Russia" in Moscow), restoration (Lacquer study of Monplaisir Palace in Petrodvorets under the leadership of N. M.Zinoviev (1955-1959)), stage design (the play "Red devils" of the Moscow drama theater. Gogol (1960-1961)), book design. Themes of works: folklore, literature, history, revolutionary. Participant of exhibitions since 1955.

V. V. bol'shakova are stored in museums: gmpi, OC Ivanovo, Nizhny Tagil Museum of fine arts, Yaroslavl HMM.
