Born in 1924 in the village of St. Michael's Churchyard in Pskov region. Since 1930, lives in Saint Petersburg.

In 1938 he enrolled in secondary art school at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture the Russian Academy of arts. From 1942 to 1945, the commander of the 2nd guards mortar brigade at the Rate of the Supreme Commander. From 1948-1954 he was the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin Academy of arts of the USSR. Was a student of V. M. Oreshnikov, and A. A. Mylnikov (painting), A. L. Queen (figure). Since 1957, a member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Participant of the largest exhibitions, including at the State Russian Museum (the 30th anniversary of the Victory).

Author paintings: "Farewell" (1988), "Standing to death" (1974), "hunting wolves" (1954), "the Trail" (1965), etc.

In his work, has also devoted herself to writing landscapes. Especially the suburbs of St. Petersburg, including Siverskiy, Vyritsa, Krasnitsy, Strelna, etc. the Landscapes of its different transmission of subtle States of nature. A special place in his life is the management of the Art Studio in the DC Food industry. Difficult to calculate, how much sincerely in love with the painting the artists worked within its walls for many decades. It was one of the leading and renowned studios of Leningrad.
