In 1955 he graduated from VGIK, film debut as artistic Director in 1958 with the film "poem of the sea". Born at the village of Malaya Kamenka Rostov region In 1949, he graduated from the Voroshilovgrad art College, in 1955 – art Department VGIK (workshop of A. Degtyar).

Since 1955 works as an art Director at to/from "Mosfilm". Since 1973, leads a workshop on the art faculty of VGIK, Professor. The collective participant of numerous Republican and all-Union exhibitions of artists of theatre and cinema. Artistic Director since 1958 ("poem of the sea"). Honored artist of the RSFSR (1969). The Order "Sign Of Honor" (1974).
