In 1950 he graduated from the Repin Institute of arts in the name of I. E. Repin, the workshop of Victor Oreshnikov.
Studied with Veniamin Belkin, Pavel Naumov, Michael Bernstein, Nicholas Rutkowski, Igor Grabar.
Participant of exhibitions since 1937.
Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1950.
He painted portraits, genre scenes, thematic and historical paintings, landscapes, still lifes, sketches from life.
