Honored art worker of the Georgian SSR (1946). He studied at the Tbilisi Academy of arts (until 1926). Movie — in 1929, in 1938 he was the main artist of a film Studio "Georgia-film". Participated in the creation of the film "the Last crusaders" (1934), "the Winged painter" (1937), "the Obstinate neighbors" (1945), "Fatima" (1959), film-ballet "the moor of Venice" ("Othello", 1960).
