The author of illustrations to the works by L. Lagin.

Born in the Smolensk region. The known Russian schedule, people's artist of the RSFSR member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Illustrated books for Detgiz, the publishing house "Soviet writer": "Dirk" A. Rybakov, "the Poems of John. Rodari" (1955) and many others. In 1955 he created a series of illustrations for the novel "and Quiet flows the don" M. A. Sholokhov. Later, in 1958, O. Vereisky also creates a series of illustrations for "the Fate of a man", which in its style is akin to the illustrations to "the Quiet don". In 1981 the publishing house "Book" was preparing a Deluxe edition of the story "the Destiny of man" - the 25th anniversary of its first publication with illustrations of verey. Portrait of the main character of the story of Andrei Sokolov was repeated and in the anniversary edition. Other figures, more 10 - the artist created again. In addition, the artist illustrated the novel "virgin soil upturned" (1965). Pictures verey liked Sholokhov. In 1975 when preparing the collected works of the writer in the Annex to the magazine "Ogonek", the writer advised publishers "to give illustration a verey". Works of M. A. Sholokhov with illustrations by O. G. Vereisky were published in different publishing houses in huge numbers and still remain the most produced.
