Born March 8, 1915 in the town of Ranenburg, Ryazan province.

In 1947 Igor Veselkin graduated from the Repin Institute of arts in the name of I. E. Repin, the workshop of Mikhail bobyshov.

Participant of exhibitions since 1946.

Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1947.

He painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes, sketches of costumes for theatrical productions.

PhD (1951). Professor of painting of the Repin Institute of arts in the name of I. E. Repin (1989-1997).
