Painter, graphic artist. After Graduating From Petersburg. University, studied in Munich and in Paris (1891-94). Participant of exhibitions from 1894. In 1894-1928 Museum curator OH, and was an expert at the Museum otd. Glavnauka Commissariat of the RSFSR, worked in otd. picture of the Russian Museum. Arrested (1935), was in exile, later returned to Leningrad. Scenic production. (including "Petipa", 1901; "Tchaikovsky", 1935; "the Pushkin at work," 1936), drawings of scenes from the ballets of Leningrad. the t-ditch. Died in besieged Leningrad.
