Germanovich Winters

Latvia • born in 1919

Works in watercolor and oil, in the 1970s he also experimented with the technique of monotype. Paints landscapes in different seasons, flowers. In the 1970s a significant place in his work took cityscapes. Wrote a lot of the surrounding area Ulbroka, banks Large and Small Jugla, as well as your garden. The artist has created several cycles of paintings. Wrote the Vidzeme sea, residence of the Latvian writers.

Edgar winters was born on 22 Sep 1919 in Riga.

In 1949 graduated from the art secondary school. J. Rosenthal.

From 1940 to 1944, Edgar winters studied at the Latvian Academy of arts.

Worked as a teacher of drawing in secondary schools of Riga.

Part in exhibitions since 1949.

Solo exhibitions: Riga (1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1981, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2006.). Tukums district (1974), AMule (1975), Sigulda (1974, 1979), Salaspils (1974, 1978, 1980), Koknese (1981), Keturah (1981, 1983), the farm Uzvara, bouskova district (1982).

Arranged 9 personal exhibitions in England (1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1995, 1997, 1997, 1997, 2001).

Group exhibitions: Riga (1949, 1954), Koknese (1969), Lejasciems (1973).
