Pupil of Academy of fine Arts from 1768 Received medals: 1777 - 2 silver medal; 1782 - a big gold for the painting "Abraham casts out Hagar"; at the same time he was issued the diploma of 1 degree with a sword. Was overseas pensioner. In 1796 taught at the Academy of fine Arts beginning drawing (plaster); in 1798, dismissed from the post of teachers and manufactured in "designated". In 1803 re-admitted to the Academy as a teacher of painting; in 1810, the title of academician for the image to novostroyka Church of our lady of Kazan in St. Petersburg. - "Christmas Savior".
