Vladimir Kuzmich Vorokhobin was born in 1923 in Ukraine. From early childhood he was brought up in the Kiev orphanage. At the Dnepropetrovsk art school he studied from 1937 to 1941, graduating from three courses. Next - the Great Patriotic war, the front, severely wounded in both legs. In 1947 Vorokhobin moved to Kazakhstan and more than forty years he lived and worked in the mining Saran - satellite town of Karaganda.
