Gavrilovich Gagarin

Russia • born in 1908

Worked in the Studio in the Kaluga Museum of art (1936-39) T. A. Kalashnikova and A. V. Fadeev. Since 1937 he has participated actively in exhibitions. In 1950-ies was organized by the Kaluga branch of the Union of Artists and was its first Chairman. The author of "the Revolt of the peasants Romodanovsky", "Phlox", "view of the new suburbs of Kaluga", "Autumn sketch", a series of portraits of honoured doctors of the Russian Federation. The artist most widely represented in the exposition of Kaluga regional art Museum and Kaluga regional Museum. He was born and died in Kaluga.
