Familiarity with the artist V. A. Favorsky and I. S. Efimov 1950 was a turning point in his life. Illarion Golitsyn entered the circle of Tabor and permanently adopted the aesthetic and moral norms underlying the impeccable professionalism that is cultivated in "novogireevskaya house", carefully keeping traditions of Russian artistic culture regardless of "what a century".

The miracle of turning the boards in the priceless perfection of a piece of art made a lasting impression on the young artist. The young artist was also under the impression of the first exhibition of Mexican printmaking in Moscow that struck his monumental power and expressiveness of images.
