Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

He graduated from the Moscow art Institute in 1944, he studied at the I. E. Grabar. Participant of exhibitions since 1940. Taught at MOSS (1946-1957). Major works: "Portrait of people's artist of the USSR N. G. Rachlin" (1945), "the Birth of hatred" (1947), "intelligence" (1948), "Portrait of an old Bolshevik G. I. Starikova" (1958), "Portrait of people's artist of the USSR I. V. Elias" (1961), "Return to life" (1963).

Works are in many art museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland.

Honored artist of the RSFSR. Winner of the Stalin prize. Professor.

In the years 1939-1945 studied at Moscow State Art Institute. V. I. Surikov in the workshop of Sergei Gerasimov (defense of the thesis took place at the Kiev art Institute).

In 1945 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.

The author of paintings on the theme of Soviet reality, socialist labor.

Works are represented in the collections of the State Tretyakov gallery, the Museum of Russian Art in Kiev, art museums of Rostov the Great, Samarkand, Voroshilovgrad.
