He graduated from the Moscow polygraphic Institute. Was part of the artistic Association “New reality”, under the direction of Elia Belutin. A member of the famous controversial exhibition in the Manege December 1, 1962 – “Thirty years of the Moscow Union of artists” (examination of the jubilee exhibition by the government and party leaders headed by N. With. Khrushchev, resulted in an unprecedented scandal).

The works of Dmitry Groman are in the state Tretyakov gallery, state Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum of the Kalinin region, and also in private collections in Russia and abroad. Currently the artist lives and works in Israel.
