Painter, graphic artist, Hero of Owls. Union (1944, posthumously). Graduated from Moscow. The vkhutein (1930), a student of D. P. Shterenberg. Lived and worked in Moscow. Participated in the exhibitions of OST. In 1933 the Kara member of the polar expedition on the icebreaker "Lenin". Author of landscapes and genre compositions by "the Port of Igarka" (1933), "Svalbard" (1934), "Spring" (1939) and other works. From 1942 in the red army, participant in the war, the platoon commander. Was killed in battle.

In 1913, the family of Gurevich after he moved to Tiflis. The permit Narkompros of Georgia, goes to study to Moscow in forestry inst. Later goes to the Art Institute (VHUTEIN), where he was graduated in 1930. Travel around the country expeditions provide rich material for creativity and find expression in the portraits, genre compositions, graphic series. During the great Patriotic war Gurevich - platoon commander of 45-millimeter guns. He was awarded medals. Died in the liberation of their homeland - Smolensk - G. Demidov. Posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. In the Smolensk Museum houses a collection of artist's works (paintings, graphics), Gurevich presented at the art gallery.
