Biography and information

(1903-10-10) Diploma thesis in the CVC - "the Movers behind the debate on the Constitution", the rating is good. The training took place at the faculty of painting (Studio of Boris Ioganson), promoted to the rank of artist of painting.

In 1929 he graduated from Saratov art College, then studied at the Leningrad Academy of arts (1932-1939) A. I. Savinova. After returning to Saratov in 1939 and taught until his retirement in Saratov art school. His disciples were known Saratov artists: V. O. Fomichev, R. L. Lavrinenko, V. M. markushina, L. G. Fedotov. The work of the school and the Union of artists (Gurov has long been a member of the Board, the Chairman of the Saratov branch of Union of artists) practically did not leave time for creativity, and since the end of 1940-ies Gurov rarely participates in exhibitions. His name was familiar to Museum staff, the Museum kept three of his works, but no information either about him or his works were not available. Received by archive documentary Fund Gurov contains biographical materials, documents related to the studies at art school and the Academy, teaching and social work, photographs, which made it possible to compile a fairly complete picture of his life and work.
