Biography and information

Born in the village Merefa, Kharkiv province. Studied at the Penza WHO, in 1906 graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of arts where his teacher was Repin. Since 1912 he participated in exhibitions. Until 1914 he lived in Warsaw, later in Kiev. He taught at the Warsaw school of art (1906 – 1914) and higher educational institutions of Kiev (1924 – 1949). In the 1920s he was a member of AHCU. Traveled extensively in Germany, Italy, England, etc., the Author of landscapes, portraits and symbolic compositions on classical themes. Played the movie posters, and designed books. Presented at the Warsaw national HM and many museums of Ukraine.
