Was born in Leningrad, died in Khimki. In 1945. he graduated from the secondary art school under all-Russian Academy of arts, and in 1951. - Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin. Entered the faculty of painting, he soon moved in the graphics workshop, and then converted in the graphics Department, and was among the first postwar graduates. He studied with K. I. Rudakov, V. M. Konashevich, L. Ovsyannikov, A. F. Pakhomov, G. D. Epifanova and M. A. Taranov. Diploma work - illustrations to the novel by E. Maltsev, "From the heart" (heads of the diploma of A. F. Pakhomov, and M. A. Taranov).

Getting creative work since 1951. Member of USSR Union of artists since 1951.

Works in field of graphics in different genres: portrait, landscape, illustration, in such techniques as etching, linocut, lithography, end-to-end print, color pencil, watercolor, pastel.
